ISSUE

When using classic Outlook, new Outlook, or Outlook Web Access (OWA) you may find that auto translate has stopped working. This issue occurs even if you have enabled “Always Translate” in the Translate settings in Outlook.

STATUS: FIXED

The Outlook Team is addressing this issue with a change from the service. The change started rolling out on April 28, 2026. As of April 30, 2026, the change is out to 80% worldwide and is expected to be completed by the first week of May.

WORKAROUND

To work around the issue, manually translate emails using Translate Message in Outlook.
