Note: Channel Agent for Teams channels is currently in public preview, and features are likely to change. To learn more about Microsoft's public preview program, see Get early access to new features in Microsoft Teams.
Channel Agent uses its knowledge to create status reports for the team. Status reports are shared as Loop files on the agent’s channel, allowing team members to review, edit, and collaborate after it's created.
Channel Agent gets its knowledge from:
-
The messages in the channel that created the agent.
-
Meeting summaries of meetings the agent was added to.
Notes:Â
-
Status reports will post directly in the channel settings for all channel members. Existing channel members will see recurring reports in the channel instead of the group chat with the status report viewers.
-
Cancel auto-configured recurring reports anytime in Status Report settings by turning off the Schedule Status Report toggle.
Generate status reports from Channel Agent
-
Channel members can @mention the agent with requests like "Create a status report." Once the Channel Agent generates a status report, the agent sends the report directly in the channel for everyone.
-
Recurring auto-configured reports will be posted directly in the channel. Channel members can edit the frequency and start and end dates in the Agent's settings in Status Report Details.
-
Cancel auto-configured recurring reports anytime in the Agent's settings in Status Report Details by turning off the Schedule Status Report toggle.
Channel members with a Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription can edit the status report skill’s settings, like the frequency of reporting.
To learn how to change an agent’s status report settings, see How to manage Channel Agent's settings.
