Applies ToNew Outlook for Windows

Starting in 2024, many new devices are preinstalled with new Outlook for Windows and the classic Outlook app isn't included.

If you recently bought a new Windows device, you might not be able to find classic Outlook, or the icon appears, but when you try to open it, you might get an error that says, We couldn't verify and install this because it is not available in the Microsoft Store. To install, download it from the publisher's website

To resolve this error and to install classic Outlook, follow the steps in the section below Select a language and download classic Outlook.

  1. To install a standalone version of classic Outlook for Windows, select your language from the dropdown, and then select Download.

  2. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.​​​​​​​

Tip: You can also try installing classic Outlook from the Microsoft Store.
