ISSUE
When a Microsoft 365 administrator attempts to deploy a product under the SaaS category from AppSource using the integrated apps - Microsoft 365 admin center, they receive a deployment error suggesting to deploy the SaaS bundle individually from Microsoft or the Vendor Marketplace.
Steps to repro:
-
Sign in to Integrated apps - Microsoft 365 admin center using the global administrator account.
-
Select Get apps.
-
Scroll down to Products filter and choose SaaS.
-
Attempt to install any SaaS application, for example: Adobe Acrobat for Microsoft 365.
-
Receive the error "Deployment error: We are unable to initiate the deployment. To deploy the app, go to the website where it is hosted."
Affected builds: All builds of Microsoft 365.
STATUS: BY DESIGN
SaaS packages need to be deployed from the portal where they have been hosted from.
Example: Azure marketplace.
