ISSUE

Legacy Outlook for Mac users have noticed that their inboxes are not grouping emails by conversation despite having the "conversation" and "show in groups" options enabled. This issue appears to be linked to the latest update (version 16.96 for Mac), which has disrupted the functionality for new messages.

STATUS: FIXED

The Outlook for Mac team has fixed this issue in 16.96.25042021 build released on Tuesday April 22, 2025. After installing the build, users might need to empty the cache on the folder exhibiting the issue. To empty the cache in legacy Outlook for Mac, please go to Clear the cache in Outlook for Mac.
