ISSUE
Following the update to Windows 11 version 24H2, Outlook desktop taskbar notifications may not open in the foreground when clicked. This issue may occur if you have other application windows open and active such as PowerPoint, Word, or Teams. After you click the notification, the email window opens behind the active application and the Outlook icon in the taskbar flashes five times.
STATUS: FIXED
This issue is fixed by Windows in the July 22, 2025 public update, July 22, 2025—KB5062660 (OS Build 26100.4770) Preview.
