ISSUE
When you move items in a classic Outlook shared mailbox the folders move around or flicker which makes it difficult to move items. This issue appears to have started in Version 2505 (Build 18827.20128).
STATUS: FIXED
The Outlook Team is addressing this issue with a change from the service. After the change is available, restart classic Outlook to pick up the change. The change will be applied with the following schedule:
Beta Channel, build 18827.20000+: Completed 6/18/25
Current Channel Preview, build 18827.20000+: ETA 6/19/25 by end of day Current Channel, build 18827.20000+: ETA 6/20/25 by end of dayWORKAROUND
To work around the issue, you can disable caching of the shared mailbox by disabling Download Shared Folders. This change has consequences for performance since Outlook is working with the shared mailbox in online mode.
To disable Download Shared Folders, please do the following:

Select File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

Select the Exchange Account and select Change.

Select More Settings > Advanced.

Under Cached Exchange Mode Settings, uncheck Download Shared Folders.
Another workaround or way to verify the issue is to revert to version 2504. For mor information about the Builds that are available to revert to, please go to Update history for Microsoft 365 Apps (listed by date).
To revert to version 2504, please do the following:

Open a Command Prompt in Administrator context (Run as administrator).

Type or paste this command below:"%programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.18730.20168
