Copilot is accessible directly in Outlook apps for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and the web as long as Connected Experiences is not turned off in Outlook privacy settings.

Sharing Copilot access across accounts

Important: This feature is not available in classic Outlook for Windows.

Microsoft accounts with a Copilot Pro, Microsoft 365 Personal, or Microsoft 365 Family license

When logged into Outlook with an account that has access to Copilot Pro or AI credits through a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription, Copilot features will be available for all connected email accounts. This includes Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Live.com, MSN.com, work and school accounts, and third-party email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, and iCloud, as long as they are logged into Outlook on the same device.

Accounts that are ineligible for Copilot access or Copilot sharing:

  • Accounts with Connected Experiences in Outlook privacy settings toggled off

  • Accounts that do not meet age requirements for Copilot

  • Microsoft 365 Family subscriptions can be shared with up to 5 others. However, Copilot is only available to the person who sets up the subscription. Users who are part of the family will not have access to Copilot.

Work or school accounts with a Copilot license

When logged into Outlook with any work or school account that has a Copilot license, Copilot features will be available for all connected email accounts. This includes Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Live.com, MSN.com, work and school accounts, and third-party email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, and iCloud, as long as they are logged into Outlook on the same device.
