  1. Import your own media or use royalty-free stock media as the background for your video. To upload your own media, click on the your media tab and import videos from your computer or connect cloud storage. To use a stock background asset, click on the content library tab then click on the visuals drop down arrow and select the backgrounds collection. Once you've uploaded or selected your video, drag and drop the video asset onto the timeline.

  2. Repeat the previous step to select the video or image you want to overlay on top of your background video. Drag and drop your overlay video onto the timeline ensuring the media asset is placed above the background asset on the timeline. For more help adding media to a video, see this page.

  3. Now your two video layers will play simultaneously, and both audio tracks may play at the same time. To mute a video's audio, click on the video on the timeline then click on the audio tab on the property panel. Adjust the volume slider down to 0% to mute. You can also detach the audio and delete it.

  4. Next, there are two different ways you can edit the two videos into a picture-in-picture format:

Option 1. Click on the top video on the timeline then click on the three dots in the floating toolbar to access more editing options. Click on the picture-in-picture button then choose the position of your overlay video. You can select top lefttop rightbottom left, and bottom right. You can also freely adjust the size of your picture-in-picture video by dragging the corners inwards or outwards.Option 2. Click on the top video asset on the timeline then use the video corners to manually resize your video and freely position it around the preview screen.
