Import data from another Excel workbook with Copilot in Excel

Sometimes you might need to import data from one Excel workbook into another. With Copilot in Excel, you can import the data directly.

How to import data from another Excel workbook

Open Excel.
To open Copilot, select the Copilot icon in the lower-right corner of Excel.
In the Copilot pane, ask Copilot to find the data that you need. You can copy and paste one of the example prompts, or type something in your own words.
If there are multiple source file results, review them and select the one you want to use.
Copilot takes a moment to import the data.
