Changes to Citizens Pay® Financing: New and subsequent purchases financed through Citizens Pay® are no longer available
Microsoft Store is always looking for ways to simplify our customers’ shopping experience, including streamlining our financing solutions. Starting May 21, 2025, Microsoft Store will remove the Citizens Pay® Line of Credit as a way to finance Microsoft Store purchases.
Yes. Pay over time options may be available for qualified customers at checkout for eligible purchases when checking out with a Microsoft account. Learn more about different ways to pay.
As of May 21, 2025, you will not be able to finance new purchases from the Microsoft Store using your Citizens Pay® Line of Credit.
If there is an outstanding balance on your Line of Credit as of May 21, 2025, it will continue to be serviced in accordance with the terms in the financing agreement provided to you at account opening.
Microsoft Store's refund policy applies to all purchases, including purchases made using your Citizens Pay® Line of Credit for Microsoft Store. Learn more about returning items you bought from the Microsoft Store for exchange or refund.
If you return a product you purchased from Microsoft Store using your Citizens Pay® Line of Credit in accordance with the terms of our return policy, your Line of Credit will be credited appropriately. This applies to all products within Microsoft Store’s 60-day return policy.
If you have already made payments on your Citizens Pay® Line of Credit for a product returned to Microsoft Store, or if you have paid for the product in full, you will receive a check from Citizens for your return after the return is complete. Check the terms applicable to your Citizens Pay Line of Credit at Citizens Pay line of credit.
No. Whether you have the Microsoft Surface Standard Warranty or purchased the Microsoft Complete for Surface Service Plan, both are still valid under their respective terms and conditions.
