This article is for people who use a screen reader program such as Windows Narrator, JAWS, or NVDA with Windows tools or features and Microsoft 365 products. Note: To learn more about screen readers, go to How screen readers work with Microsoft 365.

Copilot Vision in Edge helps answer questions about your current page and can suggest what to do next using voice responses. It works by analyzing content such as websites, apps, documents, or images. Copilot Vision uses voice responses and visual highlights to guide you, but it doesn't interact with the page on your behalf.

Use the Copilot Vision with a screen reader to explore content in the apps opened on your desktop. You will learn how to start a Copilot Vision session, ask questions about what's on the screen, and hear guidance through voice responses.

Notes:

  • Make sure you are signed in with your personal Microsoft account. Copilot Vision doesn't support work or school accounts.

  • If you're using Narrator, press the Control key to pause speech when Copilot Vision begins speaking.

Interact with Copilot Vision

  • Once you hear the audio greeting, you can ask questions about what you see in the shared app window. Copilot Vision will process your question and respond based on the visual content on your screen.
