Create Workflows in Dragon Copilot to automate tasks using your voice. Just create a sequence of steps, assign a spoken command, and let Copilot handle the rest.
Create a Workflow
-
Under Settings
, select Library > Workflows. -
Select New item.
-
Edit the name. The default name is New item.
-
Add a Spoken form. This is the phrase you'll say to run the Workflow.
-
Add a Description, if desired.
-
Add steps. Choose actions, such as Open app, Wait, Enter text, Press a sequence of keys, or Run voice command. See list of steps for more information on each.
-
Select Save.
Tips:Â
-
Workflows might seem complex at first, but starting small makes all the difference. Begin by identifying simple, repetitive tasks, like opening a frequently used app, typing a common phrase, or using a keyboard shortcut, and create a Workflow to handle it with a single voice command.
-
Each Workflow you create saves time and reduces clicks. Just speak and let Dragon Copilot do the rest.
Run a Workflow
In Dragon Copilot, you can run workflows using a voice command, a keyboard shortcut, or a PowerMic/SpeechMike button.
Important:Â To use keyboard or microphone buttons, your admin must turn on the feature in the Dragon admin center.
Use a voice command
To run a Workflow using a voice command, simply turn on the dictation microphone and say the Spoken form. Dragon Copilot will perform the steps and display a success message or alert you if something needs attention.
Use a keyboard shortcut
-
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard shortcuts.
-
Under Workflow keyboard shortcuts, select Add keyboard shortcut.
-
Pick a workflow from the list or start typing to search.
Filter by Favorites if you want a shorter list.
-
Then, enter the shortcut you want to use.
To run the workflow, just press your shortcut. Dragon Copilot will perform the steps and display a success message or alert you if something needs attention.
Notes:Â
-
Each workflow can only have one shortcut assigned.
-
To remove a shortcut from a workflow, select the three vertical dots icon (â‹®) next to it and choose Remove keyboard shortcut.
Use a PowerMic or SpeechMike button
-
Select the microphone icon (top right).
-
Under Mic buttons > Button actions, choose the button you want to set up.
-
Select Run workflow, then choose your workflow.
To run the workflow, press the assigned button.
Tip:Â You can assign the same workflow to multiple buttons if you like.
Edit a Workflow
-
Under Settings
, select Library > Workflows. -
Select the Workflow you wish to edit.
-
Make changes. You can also update the Spoken form you say to trigger the Workflow, if you wish.
-
Select Save to apply your updates.
Note: You can only edit Workflows that you’ve created. If a Workflow has been shared with you and is locked, it is read-only and cannot be modified.
