What it does

AI in SharePoint can help you create views in a SharePoint document library by using information derived from file content.

Views let you see the same files in different ways by filtering, grouping, or sorting based on available columns.

How to use it

  1. Go to the SharePoint document library where you want to create a view.

  2. Open AI in SharePoint using the Floating Button.

  3. Use AI in SharePoint to create or populate columns based on file content.

  4. Create a new library view that uses those columns.

  5. Save the view.

What to expect

  • Views do not duplicate or move files.

  • Views only change how files are displayed.

  • You can switch between views at any time.

  • Existing permissions and access controls continue to apply
