Important: People agent is currently only available in the Frontier early access program for eligible Microsoft 365 Business plans with Copilot add-on licenses. Frontier includes early access to experimental features, which means features may change as Microsoft improves them. Early Frontier features are initially available in English. Availability will expand over time.
People agent helps you learn about your organization and the people in it, create stronger work connections, and find the person you need to move your work forward. It brings together context from emails, chats, meetings, and files to surface relevant info fast. How People agent works
People agent uses Microsoft Graph and Copilot’s AI to aggregate and analyze organizational data you have access to. It surfaces insights from:

Emails: Recent communications and shared files.

Chats: Teams messages and group conversations.
-
Meetings: Past meeting recordings and transcripts, including shared action items.

Files: Documents, presentations, and shared resources.
You can interact with People agent using natural language prompts, such as:

“Help me prepare for a meeting with Paul.”

“Who reports to Jane?”

“Who can help me with User Experience prototyping?”
Where to find People agent

Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Copilot app.

Select People (Frontier) from the left navigation pane. If you don't see it, select All agents from the left navigation pane and search for it in the agent store.
How to use People agent

Open People (under Agents) in Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Search for a person, team, or skill.

Use prompt suggestions or ask your own questions.

Explore topic maps, org charts, and skills.
Known limitations

Topic maps display information from the past 28 days only.

Org chart and Skills depend on tenant setup and user profile completeness.

Some features are experimental and may change.
Privacy and security
People agent respects Microsoft 365 privacy controls. Only information you have access to is surfaced. Admins can manage agent permissions and restrict access as needed.
Requirements
To use People agent, you need:

A Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

Admin deployment or self-installation.

People Skills (if you want to use the Skills functionality in the People agent).

Teams (if you want to turn on recording and/or Facilitator for meetings)
