Important: People agent is currently only available in the Frontier early access program for eligible Microsoft 365 Business plans with Copilot add-on licenses. Frontier includes early access to experimental features, which means features may change as Microsoft improves them. Early Frontier features are initially available in English. Availability will expand over time.

Person view in People agent

Overview

A person’s view in People agent is your dedicated space to prepare for interactions with someone quickly and confidently. It brings together two key features:

  • Topic maps: A private, AI-generated summary of key themes and topics based on your recent interactions with the person.

  • Upcoming meetings: See what's coming up with the person and turn on Facilitator for richer insights.

Note: Person views in People agent are currently limited to colleagues inside your organization. You can’t look up yourself or people outside your organization yet.

Topic maps: A personalized view into your collaboration

Topic maps give you a visual summary of your recent interactions with the person. They're designed to help you quickly recall what’s important before your next interaction.

Private to you

No one else sees your topic maps. They are visible only to you.

Based on your interactions

Topic maps reason over your last 28 days of interactions with that person (Teams chats, channels, transcribed meetings, emails, and Microsoft 365 files). If you haven’t interacted recently, topic maps use info you already have access to (like profile details and reporting structure) to help you understand who they are and what they work on.

Important: Topic maps never pull in data you don't already have permission to view.

Dive deeper into insights

Click on a pill at the very end of a branch in the topic map to automatically start a new conversation with People Agent about that specific topic. This helps you get more details and context about what that branch or pill represents, making it easy to explore the information that matters most to you.

Fast and responsive

When you go to the People Agent homepage, we pre-generate topic maps for your top three people suggested or favorited on your People Agent homepage. Topic maps are also cached in your browser for up to 12 hours so that when switching between views within the agent, topic maps aren't unnecessarily regenerated, and the experience feels instant.

Refresh anytime

Click Regenerate if the map looks outdated.

Manage your data

You can delete your Microsoft 365 Copilot activity history, including topic maps, by following instructions listed in Delete your Microsoft 365 Copilot activity history. For more admin-specific guidance, see: Data, Privacy, and Security for Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Topic maps are cached in your browser or Microsoft 365 Copilot app for up to 12 hours. If you want to clear the local storage cache manually, you have three options:

  • Wait 12 hours until the cache expires automatically.

  • Sign out from the app to clear the cache immediately.

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies manually. In Microsoft Edge, go to: Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data. For other browsers, please refer to your browser's help resources for specific steps.

Upcoming meetings: Stay prepared and enable Facilitator

A person's view is designed to help you get ready for your next interaction with a colleague, not just through topic maps, but also by reminding you of upcoming scheduled meetings with that person. Seeing your meetings listed together with their topic map makes it easy to:

  • Remember when you’re meeting next

  • Instantly turn on Facilitator for those meetings, which will make your topic maps and all Copilot and People agent conversations even more insightful moving forward

What meetings appear in a person's view?

  • Only meetings scheduled within the next 28 days

  • Meetings where the person is listed as an attendee by name

  • If invited via a distribution list, the meeting will show only after the person responded to the event.

Facilitator status and actions available from a person's view

Note: Facilitator is available only for meetings scheduled in Microsoft Teams and requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Learn more about Facilitator in Teams meetings

Turn on Facilitator: If you’re the organizer, you can enable Facilitator for the meeting with one click.

Request to turn on Facilitator: If you’re not the organizer, you can request it. The system will draft a message to the organizer with the meeting link and step-by-step instructions. You can review and edit the message before sending. It’s never sent automatically.

Important: If you’re not the meeting organizer, the People agent can’t confirm whether Facilitator is already turned on. As a result, you’ll still see the “Request to turn on Facilitator” option, even if it’s active for that meeting. This limitation applies only to meetings where you are not the organizer.

Facilitator is on: If Facilitator is already enabled, you’ll see its status.

Facilitator option doesn't show: If there’s an error retrieving status or Teams isn’t enabled for the meeting, Facilitator actions may not appear

Why use Facilitator?

Turning on Facilitator helps capture richer context for your meetings, making your topic maps and Copilot experiences smarter and more personalized over time.
