Text Insights in Excel
If you have large sets of textual data like survey results or reviews, it can be challenging to see patterns or figure out what to focus on. Text Insights in Excel streamlines and enhances the interpretation of your data. It uses AI to help you swiftly extract valuable insights and themes. You'll be able to:
-
Quickly summarize large volumes of text without manual effort.
-
Understand your data better when you see key themes and sentiments identified, then add the data as a column to your workbook so you have an ongoing view for insights and tracking.
-
Tailor the results to your specific needs with flexible prompting options.
You can choose whether you want quick insights or deep analysis of your textual data. Maybe you want to know what keeps coming up in product reviews and you need a summary of the text, listing themes. Maybe you want to know which sentiments are expressed in the text (for example, positive, negative, or mixed). You can see that and then add the info as a column if you want to keep referring to it for a deeper understanding of the data.
When you review the analysis, you can view the sources and get the full context. No need to scroll through all the data to verify the Copilot analysis—just hover over a superscript number to see the data that Copilot referenced.
Note: We’re rolling features out gradually. If you don’t see an option yet, keep watching for it in an update.
