The Copilot assisted commenting feature in Viva Glint helps you improve the clarity, tone, and effectiveness of written feedback provided in survey comments. The rewrite feature can be launched directly from the comment fields in the Glint survey and helps you refine and remove identifiable writing styles from your comments while preserving the original intent of the message.

How it works
When adding a written comment in a text-entry field in a Glint survey, you’ll see an option to use Copilot to generate a rewritten version of your feedback.
Copilot will provide suggested alternative phrasing to improve clarity or tone for all or part of the comment. You can review the suggestion and decide whether to use it to replace your original comment before submitting your response. You are able to edit comments rewritten by Copilot after you accept them to ensure that the comment aligns with your intent.
The rewrite history makes it easy to get back to a previous version while in the same session.
What happens to your comments
When you engage with the feature Copilot processes your comment to generate suggested revisions but doesn't save your Copilot interactions beyond the closing of the experience. None of the interactions or comments are used for training, and only the final version of the text in the comment fields are saved with your survey responses.
You stay in control and can review and accept any rewrites before they replace your original comment. Accepted rewrites from Copilot can be edited in the comment fields up until the survey is submitted.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Why don’t I see the Rewrite with Copilot option?
Rewrite with Copilot is only available to survey takers logging in with their Microsoft Entra ID. If you’re accessing the survey using a personalized link or through attribute-based access, the feature won’t be available. If you’re signing into Glint with your Microsoft Entra ID and are still not seeing the option, your administrator may have turned the feature off.
Does Copilot automatically replace my Viva Glint comment?
No. Copilot provides suggested rewrites that you can review and choose whether to accept or not. Your original comment will not be replaced unless you decide to replace your original comment with a rewrite.
Will the meaning of my feedback change?
The feature is designed to improve tone or clarity while maintaining the original intent of your feedback. It also does not create or add new content to your comments; however, you should always review suggestions before replacing your original comment with them.
Can I edit the rewritten comment before submitting my survey?
Yes. You can edit any accepted Copilot-generated rewrites before submitting your Viva Glint survey response.
Is my original survey comment stored or shared?
No. Copilot uses the text you provide to generate rewrite suggestions within Viva Glint; however, once a rewrite is accepted, your original comment as well as any unaccepted suggested rewrites are not stored. Your submitted survey response only includes the final comment text.
Will the people reviewing the survey results see which comments were rewritten with Copilot?
No. There is no way for those reviewing survey results to tell which comments were rewritten with the help of Copilot and which were not.
