Getting started with Discover in SharePoint
Discover is the AI powered front door to SharePoint that helps you quickly find, return to, and engage with relevant sites, news, files, and people across your organization.
Note:Â The new SharePoint experience for Discover, Publish, and Build is in Preview. Your IT administrator can enable the new experiences for your organization.
Accessing Discover

Visit any SharePoint site or open SharePoint from the M365 app bar

Select Discover from the SharePoint side app bar

Sections and Features in Discover
For You: Personalized Content Feed
The For You feed surfaces relevant sites, news, and files based on your activity, recency, and organizational signals. This personalized feed helps you stay focused on content that matters most to you without manual searching.
Left Rail: Quick Access to Important Sites
The Left Rail provides persistent access to sites you care about most, including:

Recent sites you’ve visited

Favorite sites you’ve explicitly starred
This makes it easy to return to frequently used sites from anywhere in Discover.
Recent Sites: Stay Up to Date on Site Activity
Recent Sites are shown as rich site cards that highlight recent activity and updates. These cards improve wayfinding and help you quickly identify where work is happening.
You can:

Favorite frequently accessed sites using the star action on each site card
Updates from Your Coworkers: Collaboration Signals
The Updates from Your Coworkers section highlights collaboration activity such as:

Recent Items: Resume Your Work
The Recent Items section helps you quickly return to content you recently accessed, including:

Discover includes built‑in AI experiences to help you get value faster. From your recent sites, you can use AI to:

Note: Your organization needs to assign a Copilot license to you to see the AI features in Discover.Â
