We are introducing the new App Bar—a modern, centralized navigation experience designed to help users quickly access key content and resources across SharePoint.

Note: The new app bar is in Preview. Your IT administrator can enable the new experiences for your organization.

Users can browse content by hovering over the icons in the SharePoint app bar. Learn more about Global Navigation.

  • If your organization has configured global navigation, the first icon in the app bar is your organizational home site.

  • If global navigation is not configured, the first icon is Discover.

Each icon provides quick access to a corresponding SharePoint experience:

  • Home site – Your organization’s central destination for company resources
