Discovering SharePoint agents in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat
Whenever you interact with a SharePoint Agent—whether in SharePoint itself, in a Teams group chat or meeting, or directly from a link shared with you—it becomes immediately accessible from the left rail of your Microsoft 365 Copilot chat window. For example, after you ask a question to an agent in SharePoint, that agent appears in your Most Recently Used (MRU) list in Copilot chat:

Only the agents you’ve actually used (not just ones you’ve been sent a link to) show up, which keeps your list relevant and uncluttered.

Ready-made agents won’t show up even when used.

Sync delays can occasionally happen, though agents almost always appear in under a minute.

No browsing for agents: Only agents you’ve used recently can be accessed—there’s no way to browse all available SharePoint Agents from the list.

Chat history: The context from past SharePoint chats doesn’t carry over to Copilot chat, so some conversations start fresh.
Managing agents: pin, edit, and share
Pin an agent
If you frequently use a particular agent, simply pin it. Pinned agents stay at the top of your left rail, so you always have quick access, even as the MRU list changes. To pin an agent, select the Pin icon next to it.
Edit and share an agent
With your agents visible in the Copilot chat left rail, managing them is straightforward. Each agent features a “…” options menu, which allows you to perform the following actions:
Edit an agent: For agents you’ve created, you can select “Edit” to launch the SharePoint builder and make updates. If you don’t have permission to edit, that option is just disabled, which is a helpful cue.
Share an agent: When you want to collaborate with teammates, use “Share/Get Link” to generate a sharing link through the familiar file share dialog.
