In Microsoft Teams Free, people can search for you with your phone number, profile name, or email address. If you prefer to limit how people find you, you can turn off either your phone number, email, or both. Learn more about what information is visible to others in Microsoft Teams Free.

Notes:

  • You're searchable by default using email, phone number, and profile name. This includes partial name search. Minors don't have discoverable options.

  • If you disable your contact details, your profile won't show up in search results for people who’ve never chatted with you in Microsoft Teams Free or Skype.
