Add money to your family member's Microsoft account

Help family members shop responsibly by setting allowances in Microsoft accounts. Money added to a Microsoft account can be used to buy movies, games, in-app purchases, and more. To enjoy this feature, follow the steps below.

1. Sign in to family.microsoft.com using a Family organizer's account.
   Sign in

2. Find your family member and select either Add money or Manage spending, then Add Money.

   Tip: You will see Add money if they have no funds available, or Manage spending if their account has some credit already.

3. Choose the amount of money you would like to add to your family member's account and select Next.

4. Choose how you want to pay by selecting your payment method and selecting Buy, or select Add a way to pay.
