Applies ToTeams Microsoft Teams

Similar to other Microsoft 365 products, Microsoft Teams now offers multi-language spell-checking capabilities, allowing you to confidently compose messages in various languages. To check spelling in an additional language, start by adding the language to your list of spellcheck languages.

  1. Go to Settings and more Generic Ellipsis button, then select Settings Settings button

  2. In the General section, go to Editor Spellcheck. Then, select Manage to add more languages.

You can also ignore certain details, such as uppercase letters, words with numbers or internet and files addresses.

Once you’ve added the language, start typing. Teams will automatically detect errors based on your chosen languages and provide suggestions accordingly.

Tip: Add languages after you’ve started writing a message by selecting More options > Manage languages.
