What's new with mobile device companion in the Start menu?

You can now quickly access your Android device or iPhone® directly from the Start menu. This includes easy setup for new users, access to phone features like messages and calls, and the ability to share files between devices - all from the Start menu.

Requirements

• A PC running Windows 11 or later.

• Phone Link version 1.25032.82.0.

• Your Android device and PC both need to be connected via Wi-Fi.

• Your iPhone® and PC connected via Bluetooth LE

• A Microsoft Account

How do I connect my Android or iPhone® to my Windows PC from the Start menu?

• Open the Start menu.

• Select your device type (Android or iPhone®) from the pane.

• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.

How do I enable or disable mobile device content from showing in the Start menu?

• Open Settings on your PC.

• Select Personalization.

• Scroll to Show mobile device in Start toggle on or off to hide or show your mobile device in Start menu.

What features are available for connected Android users?

• View battery and connectivity status.

• Access Messages, Calls, and Photos.

• See recent activities.

• Send Files.
