Remove your mobile device from Phone Link, Link to Windows, and Windows Settings
Users can now remove their mobile device from Phone Link and from Mobile device settings in your Windows PCs.Â
What does removing a device do?
When you remove your mobile device from the Phone Link or from the Mobile Devices section under Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices, your device is no longer connected to cross-device experiences on your PC. This connection is established using the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Link to Windows app on your mobile device. As a result, removing your device from one experience—like Phone Link—also removes it across other connected experiences on your PC.
If you remove your mobile device from the Phone Link or from the Mobile Devices section under Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices, you may still need to manually remove your device from the Link to Windows app on your phone and from your PC settings to fully complete the removal.
To make sure your device is completely removed from all connected experiences—like Phone Link and features powered by Mobile Devices in Windows Settings—follow the steps below.

-
Open Phone Link on your PC.
-
Navigate to Settings -> Devices.
-
Find the device you wish to remove.
-

-
Confirm by clicking Remove on the dialog box.
Once removed, your device can no longer use Phone Link features like calls, texts, and notifications. However, it may still appear in Link to Windows on your mobile device and Windows Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> Mobile devices -> Manage devices.
