It’s easy to view a person’s LinkedIn profile directly in Teams. When you view a person's profile card or go to any one-on-one chat, you can quickly see their experience, education, skills, and more. You can also expand your LinkedIn network and connect with people on LinkedIn without leaving Teams.

Note: Your organization must let you use LinkedIn in Teams. When your organization allows the LinkedIn integration, you can access LinkedIn in Outlook too.

From chat

  1. In Teams, go to any one-on-one chat and select the LinkedIn tab.

  2. You can see that person’s recent posts, experience, skills, endorsements, and more.

From a profile card

  1. Hover over a person's profile picture to open their profile card.

  2. Select Find LinkedIn profile. Or under LinkedIn, select Show profile matches.

Connect your LinkedIn and Microsoft accounts

You can access LinkedIn profiles in Teams without connecting your LinkedIn and Microsoft accounts. But if you choose to connect these accounts, you can discover more about people. A LinkedIn connection helps you find out what you have in common with them, see your degrees of connection, and connect on LinkedIn without leaving Teams.

  1. In Teams, go to any one-on-one chat and click the LinkedIn tab.

  2. Select Sign in now to connect your LinkedIn account.

  3. Select Accept to connect your LinkedIn account to Microsoft apps.

  4. Select Accept to connect your Microsoft account to LinkedIn.

Note: You only need to sign in the first time you connect with someone on LinkedIn. After that, you'll remain signed in, so it's easy to expand your LinkedIn network.
