When you open a session in Microsoft Dragon Copilot, the Timeline tab is displayed by default. The timeline provides quick access to helpful prompts while also keeping track of important session events. The following functionality is available:

  • See all activities and events that have taken place so far, for example, when an ambient recording was started and stopped, when a transcript or note was created, or when an AI response became available for review.

  • Select a prompt in the main area of the screen or at the bottom to help you in your workflow or use AI to extract helpful facts and insights; for example, select Summarize note.

  • View the prompt/response dialog between you and Dragon Copilot; your side of the conversation is displayed in blue, on the right.

  • In a response card in the prompt/response dialog, do one of the following:

    Select the copy icon  to copy the response to the clipboard.

    Select the feedback icon to provide feedback on the quality of the response.

  • Hover over a prompt in the prompt/response dialog and do one of the following:

    Select the edit icon to open the prompt in the prompt field at the bottom for editing.

    Select the copy icon to copy the prompt.

    Select the save icon to save the prompt to the library.

    Select the star icon  to add a saved prompt to your favorites. Favorite items are easier to find throughout Dragon Copilot, as they are always displayed at the top of your library menus.

  • Instead of selecting the tabs at the top, you can directly navigate to content located on other tabs, such as the transcript or current and previous note versions. To do so, select the title of the AI content card that logged the creation of the content you want to view. Some content cards also offer additional actions, such as Review changes when a new version of the note was created.
