You can cross-post a channel conversation in Microsoft Teams to post the same message in multiple channels at the same time.

Cross-post a new channel conversation

  1. In the channel, select Post in channel or Start a post  Start a post icon.​​​​​​​

  2. In the compose box, select Actions and apps  Cross icon at top of the screen > Post in other channels. 

  3. Select  Cross icon at top of the screen above the subject line of your post to add more channels.

  4. Choose the channels you want to post in, or use search to find a channel. You can post only in channels where you are a member. Select Update to save.

  5. Type your message, then select Post. The message is posted to all selected channels.

Edit a cross-post

Hover over the original message to see the More options menu. Select Edit Edit button.

You can also add or remove channels.

  • To add a channel, select Cross icon at top of the screen and choose a channel.

  • To remove a channel, select X next to the channel name.

You can turn any existing post into a cross-post by selecting Actions and apps  Cross icon at top of the screen​​​​​​​ > Post in other channels.

Note: You can cross-post only in channels where you have permission to post. Channel moderation settings may restrict posting.
