Manage your Viva Engage inbox

You can use your Viva Engage inbox to view, manage, and prioritize conversations that matter most to you. The inbox includes private messages, announcements, and conversations that you participate in or are @mentioned in.

You can also edit your notification settings to receive email alerts for Viva Engage inbox activity.

You can perform the following tasks with your Viva Engage inbox:

Review all your relevant Viva Engage activity in one place.
Mark important conversations as unread for later follow-up.
Stop following conversations that are no longer relevant.
Use split view to navigate between unread and read messages.
Stay informed on the go with the mobile inbox.

How to use the inbox

Go to your Viva Engage inbox by selecting the Inbox icon in the left column below the Home Feed.

The inbox sorts your conversations into unread messages, private messages, and all messages.

Create a new private message

Select New Private Message.
Add the participant names and click Post.

Mark a message as unread

Hover over a message in your inbox and click the Mark As Unread button.

This brings you back to the top-level view of your inbox.

Stop following a conversation

You can stop following a conversation in two ways:

In the conversation header, select Stop Following in Inbox.
From any message, select Unfollow on the More menu.

After you unfollow it, the conversation is removed from your inbox. It may reappear if one of the following occurs:

You decide to follow the conversation again.
Someone directly replies to a message that you wrote in the conversation.
Someone @mentions you in the conversation after you stop following it.

Follow a conversation

To follow a conversation you're not part of, select Follow in inbox from the More menu. The inbox stores followed conversations for easy access.
