Get started with the Microsoft Teams calendar
Streamline meeting and event scheduling, customize your calendar views, and much more in Microsoft Teams for desktop.

Open your calendar
To start using your Teams calendar, select CalendarÂ
Change your calendar view
Your Teams calendar will display your work week by default. See other views, like the entire week or month, by selecting Work week at the top of your calendar and choosing one.Â
You can also:​​​​​​​

Change the time scale to adjust space for meeting details.

Save calendar views to access specific layouts later.

Select FilterÂ
to customize the types of events that appear on your calendar. -
Select Show navigation paneÂ
 to see the mini-month view, view other people’s calendars, create calendar groups, and more. -
Select More optionsÂ
 > Calendar settings to change your calendar appearance, adjust event and meeting settings, and more.

View other calendars
View multiple calendars at the same time for seamless coordination and event planning. Look at different people’s calendars, calendars that highlight birthdays or holidays, and more. Â

In the top-left corner, select Show navigation paneÂ
. -
Under My calendars, create and select calendar groups to quickly bring up views of specific calendars later.

Switch between split and combined views to see other calendars side-by-side or integrated into one.

Schedule and start meetings and events
Easily schedule meetings and events of all types from your Teams calendar.  Â
To schedule a new meeting or event:Â

Select CalendarÂ
in Teams. -
Select New
 or select a timeslot in your calendar.-
Select the dropdown arrow next to New
 to choose from different types of event templates. Select View all templates to see more.

Select SchedulerÂ
 to find a time that works best for everyone. -
Enter meeting or event details.

Select SaveÂ
.
Important:Â When scheduling a virtual Teams meeting, turn on the Teams meeting toggle.
To join a meeting or event:

Select CalendarÂ
in Teams. -
Select a meeting or event.

.

Find the right place to meet
When choosing a room or location for your meeting, you’ll see more details about available rooms, like capacity and technical specs. You’ll also see the option to Browse with Places Finder. Â

Print your calendar
Print out your calendar to distribute physical copies of it or keep it on hand for markups and easy access.Â

Quickly access past meeting details
Go right to a past meeting’s recap, chat, and other details in your Teams calendar.Â
To access:Â

Select CalendarÂ
in Teams. -
Select a past recorded meeting.

Select RecapÂ
to view the meeting recap. -
Select ChatÂ
​​​​​​​ to open the meeting chat.
