Personal meeting templates in Microsoft Teams

Personal templates are available as part of Teams Premium, an add-on license that provides additional features to make Teams events more personalized, intelligent, and secure. To get access to Teams Premium, contact your IT admin.

Personal templates are only available in the new Teams calendar. To learn more, see Get started with the new calendar in Microsoft Teams.

Personal templates aren't currently available on Teams for mobile.
Personal meeting templates help simplify your scheduling experience by pre-saving meeting options as templates you can use to quickly organize meetings.
Create a personal template
Create personal templates from scratch or while scheduling a new meeting.
Create a template from scratch

Select Calendar
in Teams. -
Select the dropdown arrow next to New event
. -
Select Create template
. -
In Meeting options, adjust the settings the way you want to save them in your template.

Select Save as template.

Name your template.

Add an optional description about your template (what it's used for, template details, etc.)

Select Save.
Create a personal template while scheduling a meeting

Select Calendar
in Teams.-
Select New event
. -
Select the dropdown arrow next to New event
and select an event type.

Designate the meeting as a Teams meeting by either inviting attendees or turning on the Teams meeting toggle.

Select Meeting options

Adjust settings and select Save as template.

Name your template and add an optional description about your template.

Select Save.
Note: Sensitivity labels can't be saved as part of a personal template.
Schedule using a personal template
To schedule a meeting using a personal template:

Select Calendar
in Teams. -
Select the dropdown arrow next to New event
. -
Select the template under Your templates.

If you can't find a template, select View all templates
. Select Schedule next to the template you want to use. If you still can't find Your templates, make sure you have the latest version of Teams.

Add meeting details and invite attendees. Select Save
.
Update or delete personal templates
Save up to 40 personal templates in Teams and keep them relevant by updating them or removing the ones you no longer use.
To update or delete a personal template:

Select Calendar
in Teams. -
Select the dropdown arrow next to New event
. -
Select View all templates
and find the template you want to change or remove.-
Select Edit
to make changes to the template. Select Apply to save changes. -
Select Delete
to remove the template. Once a template is deleted it can't be recovered.

Note: After you edit a personal template, all future meetings you schedule with it will have the updated settings. Meetings already scheduled from the template, including series meetings that have future occurrences, won't have the updated settings.
Delegate personal templates
Delegates who manage your calendar can create personal templates and use them to schedule meetings for you.
For the best experience, delegates should create personal templates in their own calendar. They can use their saved personal templates to schedule meetings in your calendar by following the steps in Schedule using a personal template.
